About Kevin:
As a young prominent figure in the disability community for disabled persons, he has been recognized at the local, state, federal, and national level. Since the age of 12, he has been a public speaker, advocating for the rights of people with disabilities in education and healthcare. On this platform, Kevin has learned much more than he ever could’ve sitting in a desk. Kevin used his ability to speak to get his foot in the door. Once he was in, his mind – the one that doctors and teachers once said had no potential – began some serious work. Since he was 12 years old he has given his time and effort to prove to people day in and day out that if he would only be given the opportunity that he would prove to people that he can get the job done. In February of 2006, at the age of 16 years old he was given the opportunity to meet the President of the United States of America, President George W. Bush as a representative for peoples with disabilities. Kevin has spoken to a crowd of more than 10,000 people, and continues to touch many lives. Dressed in a sharp black suit, slick tie, and polished dress shoes, with a welcoming smile along with a handshake that you won’t forget. This extremely motivated young man attends California State University, Fresno. His major is Communications with a vision to make a difference. He is actively involved in the disability community in his hometown and continues to strive for change across the nation.
